JM Drama Casting Call

HARVEY
by Mary Chase

Looking to get involved in the performing arts? JM Drama will present the Pulitzer prize-winning comedy Harvey this summer, and right now, we’re looking for enthusiastic, committed people who will bring the characters to life.

A Bit About Harvey

Elwood P. Dowd is a likeable, affable fellow who, like most people, enjoys a drink with his best friend. Elwood lives with his sister Veta Louise and her daughter Myrtle May. Veta Louise is desperately trying to get her daughter positioned in the local town society in hopes of securing a husband but there is a problem; Elwood’s best friend Harvey is a 6-foot-three, invisible white rabbit. Mother and daughter plan to have Elwood committed to the Chumley Rest Home but Harvey and Elwood have something to say about that.

There are 11 adult roles you can audition for, including:

Veta Louise Simmons (Elwood's sister, age 35-55)

Ruth Kelly (Nurse, age 18-35)

Myrtle Mae Simmons (Elwood's niece, age 18-30)
